Lounging in Banos-Not for long...

Forgot to show you the dinner I had last night for $6.50 at Casa Hood, owned by Ray Hood. It was trout with a ginger glaze, whole grain rice...very nice for the price.
The tourists were pouring in today and I have about had it here. The action is fun, but it is not really why I came, so maybe it is time to move on. While the Argentina-Holland game is on, I scope out a hotel in Salinas de Guaranda and the bus schedule to get there. After that it is on to Cuenca, No. 1 expat retirement spot for five years in a row. Got this shot of the Hostal bulldog lounging this afternoon:: People are happy in the streets because Argentina won in overtime penalty shoot outs.
A few parting Banos shots at dusk

Oh yeah, this is a candy capital, like York Beach Salt Water Taffy
