Horseback Ride
Wednesday...New day with a new promise of better weather. I am encouraged to go to Natural Magic Tours (a more reputable of the hundreds of tour operators in Banos) to enquire about what I might do today. A solo tourist cannot do just any activity. Some require at least two people. I had hoped to do the tour of the volcano, drive, hike, eat and bike down, but I had to settle for a horse ride up a canyon.
The ride was a nice experience (I don't ride much and the horses always know it) They tried me on three horses.The first was too feisty, the second was Sadaam Hussein, and the third was Chocolate.
The only issue was that the destination was not very interesting, just a stream with some lava rock in it and the guide showed me a mint plant. The views were nice, though and my adductors hurt, so I got my money's worth.
