Sacha Sisa 1st outing

Down to the river and into the canoe for a short trip to a neighboring family's farm.
Lots of flowers around the house
\pineapples take about 18 months to mature. To plant, just stick that top part that you rip off back in the ground and wait 18 months.

 This is cacao...
The white part is very sweet Creme de Cacao, and after you suck that off, the seed that is left is where the chocolate comes from, but there is a whole process to make that happen, which you and I will learn about tomorrow.
This flower is called Labios de la Negra (lips of the black woman)
My guide, Victor Hugo, could not tell me what this fuzzy red flower was...
We picked and ate lemons, pineapple and cacao
Gustavo, the patriarch of this small farm, had a great shirt!
Back to the campsite. Love this shot with the sun coming through the trees as we motor upstream.
