Sacha Sisa Jungle Walk

After breakfast the French family leaves and Victor and I don the boots for a 3 hr jungle walk. It is a slow pace, so as not to scare away any good sightings.
A monkey might use this seed pod for a comb...
Natives lay out snares to catch things
This vine grows from the top down and eventually grows bigger than the tree itself, killing it (Mata Palo)
Here is one that got strangled

 Poisonous frog
The roots of this tree will adapt to the available sun coming through the canopy and the tree can actually walk (move) through the forest over time
Termite nest...The nest is actually made from their dung
\
Victor says you don't need DEET, just mush up the termites and rub the juices on the skin and you are all set, organically!

Some kind of nut with a dryish flech like coconut. This could get you by if you are starving but I am not..\I get this huge lunch with a gourmet
presentation of the apple for dessert!
followed by a nap in the hammock before the afternoon outing.
