Sacha Sisa Morning bird walk

Victor wakes me at 5:45am to go across the river and see the birds wake up. The fog is coming off of the river
Before the motorized canoes, it was all done in these smaller versions. My rowing friends will note that the shape is not dissimilar from a rec shell, with a flat bottom. But we get ten foot oars to stabilize, we don't go into currents and rapids, and we generally don't stand up in the boat, except for Steve Leen.

Across the river, I note a fresh shoot of something pushing up through the sand.
Victor stalled because it was raining, but now it is not and the birds seem to have left already, but we push on to see what is left.
Most of the birds we saw were too far away to film, but we did see these "prehistoric" birds and put the cell phone up to the binocs to get these shots. There were big birds with wierd noises.

Then we saw this falcon way on the top of a tall tree...
Jungle flowers
And back in time for breakfast from the kitchen
