This hill to the south of Old Town has the Virgin atop and offers great views of the old part of Quito and parts south. It is not recommended to hike up there, so the bus was a good deal and it gives a half hour to be a tourist there. All her parts are cast aluminum. At her feet is a dragon and she is trying to take off but then there is that darn chain. You climb up into the base and walk around inside the green fence around the ball below the dragon. Was that a run-on sentence?

But this is a huge sprawling place, far as the eye can see, north and south.
